Buffalo Creek Fire Department:

 

$300 donation to the Fire Department will allow us get the Fire Department to do one 1,500 gallon fill of their water truck, and the use of their water hose during the race for use to transport our own water.

Initial fill of their truck will fill Location #1 and #2, and one large tanks in camp.  The rest will need to be filled ourselves.

Water Drop  #1

600 gallons will cover both days.

  • 6 -- 1oo gallon tanks.

Site is small and uneven.  Best to use 6 100 gallon tanks.

Water Drop #2

Second road crossing.  Approximately 1 mile from Little Scraggy, next to a parking lot on the right.

600 gallons will cover to 2 day.

  • 1-- 100 gallon tank (Rubbermaid)
  • 2 -- 250 gallon tanks (Galvanized from Susie S.)

Site is fairly level, and can take either 2 - 250 gallon, and 1 - 100 gallon.

Water Drop #3

Mid-way down Blue loop on CR 538.

300 Gallons

  • 3-- 100 gallon Galvanized tanks

Should be checked between races depending on the number of entries.  150 gallons should be good for 20 or less riders on the 50.

Base Camp

~ 1,000 to 1,200 gallon per day.

  • 2 -- 400 gallon tanks.
  • 4 -- 100 gallon tanks.

One 400 gallon tanks on helipad.

One 400 gallon tank near vet check.

Two 100 gallon tanks mid-way to road.

Two 100 gallon tanks near the Buffalo Burn trail head.
